San Diego residents have known it for the wide variety of games offered on the gaming floor and its idyllic location. But now it offers so much more. We went to Sycuan casino primarily to take advantage of the free buffet. Can you blame us, the economy sucks right now! Anyway, we got in an extremely long line and waited patiently to enter the buffet. If you are smart, you will enter during non peak eating hours, it'll save you a lot of time. Viejas Casino first opened September 13, 1991 on the Viejas reservation. The casino was preceded in 1977 by the Viejas Bingo Room which operated in the nearby Ma Tar Awa RV Park. Viejas Bingo moved inside the Viejas Casino in 1994. Viejas Casino was remodeled in 2006 at a cost of $19 million.
Sycuan Casino began as a humble Bingo Palace in 1983. Now more than 37 years later, it has become a community landmark and one of San Diego's premier resort destination. In 2019, Sycuan completed a $260M hotel and resort expansion. The 500,000-square-foot expansion includes an expanded gaming floor and available player positions to include a total of 2,300 slot machines and 54 table games.
The 12-story luxury hotel tower features over 300 guest rooms, including 57 suites in various configurations and amenity packages.
Sycuan's new group offerings includes multiple indoor and outdoor event venues, on-site catering services and feature state-of-the-art technology. The new event space features over 42,000 square feet of indoor and outdoor space and accommodates both small-to-large sized groups. There are several event venues to choose from ranging from smaller breakout meeting rooms and banquet-style venues to concert capacity seating.
Additionally, hotel and casino guests have a wide range of onsite amenities to enjoy such as a pool and garden area with a lazy river and swim-up bar, a full-service spa with treatment rooms and sauna, and a state-of-the-art fitness facility.
Non-smokers can enjoy slots and table games and a variety of amenities in a new non-smoking environment.

The Grace Towers bus is scheduled to depart Sycuan at 10:45pm or after the last evening bingo game, if Bingo runs later than normal.
Return trip leaves from Sycuan Casino after the evening Bingo session at approximately 10:30 pm. Travel time from Sycuan Casino is approximately 45 minutes.
Club Sycuan card and photo ID required. Must be 18 years of age or older to ride on bus. Sycuan Casino team members have priority seating. Food or beverages, excluding bottled water, are not allowed on the bus. Please, no shopping bags or backpacks. Seating is on a first-come, first-served basis and there is no reserved seating. Neither Sycuan Casino nor the bus company is responsible for customer vehicles left at the pick-up locations, or for providing alternate transportation to anyone missing a scheduled departure time. All shuttle times are approximate.
Wheelchair Lift Equipped Buses – Buses with wheelchair lifts are available upon request and are subject to availability. Please call 619-445-6002 at least 24 hours in advance to reserve a wheelchair equipped bus for your desired route.
